When should I stage my home?
Before anyone looks at your home you should stage. Let me explain. The best time to home stage is before you list your home. It may take longer than you think to get your home ready. It is best to impress your realtor who will price your house accordingly. This also goes for the appraiser if you have if you have your home appraised to determine value.
And by all means do not put your home on the internet before home staging. You’d be surprised at what I’ve seen. Pictures are worth a thousand words. Make yours count by having your home in top condition when photographed. Just for fun, take a photo of your rooms before you do anything. You may be shocked at what you see. Now, clean up and take more photos. You may think you are just fine but the pictures may tell another story. Let me show you.
Remember no photos before home staging. You want your home to look its best right out of the starting gate. It only takes one negative to turn a buyer off. Don’t let this happen to you.
