Buyers are emotional when buying a home – it’s hard not to be. Staging your home affects the price you will receive. Buyers are willing to spend more for a sharply dressed home that they can imagine themselves living in without having to do a lot.
Don’t depend on the various internet sites to get a value for your home. They are rarely accurate. How could they be? They don’t know the condition of the properties that sold or the properties that are listed. As a realtor, I have seen people arrive at a sales price based solely on what the Jones got down the street or the internet without even considering the positive amenities or the negatives that can affect the sale and appraisal.
